GT4
Please give me a hand at GT4. Contact all those tuning companies and post their suggested tuning configurations for the Euros in GT4. The Renault Clio and Opel Speedster are killing me. I can't keep them on the road!
And one more thing: Since Greg is from Europe, he should make a section devoted to the cars that we didn't get here in the States. A history, if you will.

Cellar Dweller
Flipping through the 5/05 issue, I noticed an article, "Objet d'Art," about a local car. I proceeded to read it and was disturbed that the writer called Arizona a "cellar-dweller" when it comes to tuned cars. How easily he forgets about two of the hottest cars (Gary Lutz's and Mike Myers') that have been in eurotuner in the last two years (and there are probably even more). We also have more tracks than most states, we host Bugorama and Barrett-Jackson, and we have the longest-running weekly car show in US history (the Pavilions).

Assuming you don't work for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, we apologize for any offense you may have taken because of the author's comments. None intended. We've sent him to live in a cave for a year.
Disturbing Trends
I've been a loyal reader since the early days, and I've seen the rise and fall of everything from DTM tips to the Euro look. I've even tolerated and understood the reason for the Focus and Japanese love (I too can appreciate other styles and tuners). So this brings me to my point: the crossover of Japanese tuners to the Euro market. I can understand why they're coming over once they see the error of their ways, but what bothers me is they're bringing the style with them. I'm one of the first people to appreciate hard work and dedication, but not when somebody goes over the top with paint, TV screens, painted angel eyes, widebody kits and double wings. For example, the red M3 in the 5/05 issue. And you may argue it's a show car, but in the same issue you have a Mk2 Jetta that's tastefully done and is also a show car. It's just that I hate it when people try too hard to get their car noticed. Our Euros don't need that; we (car enthusiasts) can spot a modified Euro a mile away.

Pen Pal
First off, I'd like to commend your staff for doing such a fantastic job. Unfortunately, though, I've placed myself in a bind (prison), and I'm hoping for some moral support. Don't worry, I'm not some demented, abnormal freak in need of a pen pal. I simply played a minor role in a small, white-collar crime. So here's the deal: Almost all my "friends" quit writing and nobody here really cares about European autos. They fantasize about SUVs and pimped-out lowriders. Help! Is there anybody out there who would be interested in writing to a loyal Euro enthusiast who's being harassed and chastised for every comment made about his love for Euros? OK, so maybe I need a pen pal. But I'm not a demented, abnormal freak! I would've sent a photo of myself holding the mag like some other readers' letters, but cameras aren't allowed. Please write.

Let The Bitching Stop
Over the last few months I've been reading about Honda-this and hater-that, "My Euro is better than your ricer," blah, blah, blah. I just finished reading SGT Cloward's letter in the 5/05 issue and couldn't agree more: "... the passion is the same. Nobody likes a hater." It brought tears to my eyes.
