This car remains the stuff of legend. I fondly remember doing four-wheel burnouts in first, and spinning all four in the shift to second and third. The car drifted effortlessly through switchbacks. If ever there was an old-school strictly-Euro racehorse to share with your readers, this one leaves only smiles! Think about it.

Ah, you've brought back a lot of memories. That's a good website. I actually know many of the cars in the galleries. I drove many RS Cosworths, including the Sierra RS, the RS500, Sapphire RS and the Escort RS - in fact, Ford had a road-going Repsol Escort WRC complete with anti-lag that was the most fun you could have on four wheels. I'm sure I mentioned I used to own a 2.4 liter 450hp 2wd Sapphire RS Cosworth as well. It remains one of the greatest cars I've ever driven. They're about the only thing that could compare to the Evo 8 today. By coincidence, we attended a recent gathering of the original RS500 touring cars and will bring you that soon. And if anybody knows of any Cosworths in the USA, perhaps we could take a look at them.

After the comments about color-matched wheels in last month's issue, I thought I'd include a pic of my 944 with matching Fuchs alloys that were actually a factory option back in 1985.

Sinners Repent 2
This is response to Grant's letter "Sinners Repent" in et 9/05. As a Christian male, I see nothing wrong with "models" in the mag. All the delicate pieces are covered, they're not showing anything, unlike some European mags. Appreciating a woman's beauty and admiring God's creation is not a sin. When you lust after that creation, then it is. I think you're just a frustrated kid using "I'm a Christian" as an excuse.
In closing, best wishes to Sgt. Cloward and the men and women serving this country. Hope you come home soon and safe!

We've had a few emails on the subject and I don't think Grant had a real problem with girls in the mag. He was questioning their presence, as he's entitled to do. They didn't stop him buying it, he just chose to black them out so he wouldn't be distracted. I'm sure he's not frustrated. In fact, he seemed pretty normal. We try to respect all views but we'll continue to include the occasional lady in the interest of art and science. Let's all hug and get along. Oh, and the Sarge is back and living in Utah - can't get safer than that!
