This week Bentley Motors unveiled its new model, the Mulsanne, at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance in Monterey, CA.
The Mulsanne is inspired by the original 1930 8-liter car. The 8-liter represented the last big Bentley model that was completely designed, engineering and built by Bentley engineers until the Mulsanne.
Nearly 80 years later, while paying respect to this past, the new Mulsanne is a modern statement of luxury driving and grand touring. Styled and engineered entirely at Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, England, the Mulsanne will go into production next year.
The return of the Mulsanne name to a car carrying the `Winged B' emblem underlines the company's racing history reflected in the Le Mans circuit - the scene of six Bentley triumphs.
The Bentley Mulsanne will go on sale in mid-2010. It will also be displayed at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show this September 15-27. Unfortunately, there isn't any technical information available but Bentley Motors promises to provide more specs at Frankfurt.
