Now remove the rear springs. First, loosen the sway bar by taking out the four 13mm bolts securing the bar's bushings. Then disconnect the 16mm bolts on the end-links
Remove the 18mm alignment eccentric bolt and washer that holds the upper control arm to the rear hub. It's best to mark where the bolt sits as it determines the rear camber.
The rear suspension will now drop, but before it does you must remove the calipers to prevent the brake lines from taking the weight. Pop off the clip that secures the e-brake cable. Remove two 13mm bolts securing the calipers. There is a 15mm backing bolt that you must secure when removing
Now remove the springs. We had lowering springs on the car so it was easier to remove. If you have stock springs, a compressor might help to pry it out. Once the springs are out, remove the upper and lower rubber isolators
Install the H&R aluminum height adjuster by tightening the bottom using three built-in screws. For adjustment, we set the height to the lowest setting (1.7" according to H&R)
Next, install the H&R spring and re-fit the rubber isolator above it. The lower isolator was replaced by the H&R adjuster
Prepare the new H&R shock by swapping the upper hat locator and bump-stop. Secure the 16mm bolt
Connect the top A-arm mount before installing the shock. Then realign the 18mm eccentric bolt. Tighten and torque when done
Install the shock by fitting the 21mm bottom bolt and two 13mm top bolts. Refit the brake caliper
