Falken Tire Corporation, based in Fontana, CA will be racing a Porsche 911 RSR in the prestigious American Le Mans Series this year, in the GT2 class. The team will be focused on developing Azenis RT Slick tires specifically for the rear-engined Porsche 911 chassis through extensive testing, driver, suspension and engine development. Falken engineers will design dozens of new specification tires for the racing program, changing rubber compounds, construction, tread design (for rain tires) and tire sizing to optimize track performance. The goal is to produce the best race tires available in ALMS.

Rod Everett, race engineer and owner of Landmark Motorsports, will manage Team Falken Tire with his extensive experience in open wheel and Sports car endurance racing. He will work with crew chief Mike Fox, a veteran Porsche mechanic and a dedicated group of seasoned racing technicians.

Bryan Sellers and Dominic Cicero will perform driving duties for the team. Bryan, 26, lives in Atlanta, GA and has extensive experience in sports car racing in series such as ALMS, Grand Am, Atlantic and karting. Dominic, 27, is based in Portland, OR, has raced formula cars in Europe and sports cars in the US such as Daytona Prototype, production-based cars and karting.

The Porsche GT3 RSR in Falken teal and blue livery, features a water-cooled 3.8 liter flat-six boxer engine, restricted to 485hp and up to 9000rpm, through a six-speed sequential manual transmission. The power is transmitted to the ground via 11x18" and 13x18" BBS one-piece race wheels and Falken Azenis RT Slicks in 280 and 330mm widths.
